1 cup unpolished rice
1/4 cup urad dal
6-8 pepper corns crushed
1/4 jeera crushed
1/4 tbsp hing
1 tbsp coconut powder
A few bits of curry leaves
Til oil for fry
Salt to taste
wash and soak the rice and dal together for4-6 hours.Drain and grind to a thick coarse paste adding a little water.Mix in all the other ingredients.Heat a non stick pan and smear a little oil.Take a small ball of dough,pat it into a thick round of about 5'' diameter wetting the hand every now and then.Make a small hole in the center.
Put a few drops of oil.pour another spoon of oil around and let it cook on medium flame till golden brown.Turn over and cook the other side.serve hot with butter.
