Turquoise Cleaning
Turquoise should be dipped in warm water and then gently scrubbed with a soft toothbrush. It should be rinsed with warm water and then air-dried. The stone should not come in contact with cleaning fluids like ammonia.

Silver - Avoiding Tarnish
Sterling silver will polish up by rubbing or buffing it with a soft cotton cloth or a Sunshine Cloth. If you store silver in plastic bags with an interlocking seal, it will be less prone to tarnish.

Sparking Gold And Silver
Clean embedded dirt from gold or silver jewellery by giving them a brisk brushing with some toothpaste and an old toothbrush.Then wash with water. Just like you brush your teeth! The effect is sparkling!.

Soak jewellery (eg. silver, copper, gold) in the water drained from curdled milk for 15 mins. wash them with soap afterwards. Get back the sparkle in them to look new.

Keep silvers immersed in water in which potatoes were boiled. Remove after an hour and wash regularly with soap. Will come out sparkling like new.

Apply transparent nailpolish to your trinkets and junk jewellery to make their lustre last much longer, and also protect them from moisture and sweat.

For Sparkle
Wash your Diamonds with Toothpaste on an old toothbrush. Then wash in clean water(You can use cotton for rubbing). They will sparkle.

Silver ornaments
Dip silver ornaments like toerings, payals, etc., in the curd whey got from hanging sour curds. Wash with soap after an hour or two, for a clean sparkling look.
