Ingredients

Chilli pdr 1/2tsp
Coriander pdr 5grams
Cumin pdr 5grams
Garlic 1piece
Green chillies 2pint
Hing 1pinch
Jeera 1tsp
Little fenugreek (methi) seeds to taste
Medium sized tomato 1pinch
Mustard
Onion optional 1small
Peppers 3/4 tsp
Red chillis 2
Salt to taste
Tamarind paste 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Urad dal 1 tsp

Directions

Take some water or if available take toordal water.

Take tamarind extract

Take tamatoes,Green chillies, onion, corriender powder, chillie powder, salt, sugar

Take a container with water, add your chopped tamatoes, chopped onions and green chillies, sliced garlic, chillipowder, corriender powder, little cumin seed powder, little salt , little sugar and then lentil water and add tamarind extract.

Bring them to a boil, let it simmer for 30 mintues.

10 minutes before finishing, add tadka.

Tadka: Crushed garlic, cumin,pepper, mustard, turmeric, hing, ghee or oil, curry leaves and split black gram

Take a pan, add oil or ghee/ clarified butter, add red chillies and mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, urad dal, pinch of hing, curry leaves, cursh and add the remaing ingrediets. Lite fry.

Add the tadka to the baoiling rasam.

After adding tadka , let it simmer for more 10mins.

Serve it hot with rice.
