2 cups maida

cup ghee

1 cup sugar

cup cornflour powder

2-3 strands kesar soaked in water/milk

Few rose petal,chopped

ghee for deep frying


First make the dough. Take maida in a large mixing bowl.Add half cup ghee and water as required and knead it into a soft dough.

Make four big roti's of the dough.

Spread the ghee and cornflour powder on one of them and put the second roti on the first one.

Continue the process Spread the ghee and cornflour powder on second roti and put the third roti over the second one.

And Continue the process Spread the ghee and cornflour powder on third roti and put the fourth roti over the third one.

Start rolling all roti from one end so that one is layered inside the other.

Now you've a long roll, cut this roll with a knife about one inch each. Keep all the pieces aside.

Take one piece at a time and press it a little sideways with your finger and flatten it with a rolling pin.

Apply the dot of kesar on it.

Then deep fry the pieces in medium heat until they are golden brown.

Remove and Immediately sprinkle powdered sugar over it.

Garnish with rose petals.

Store in airtight container after cooling completely.
