Basmathi rice 1cup
Butter or oil 1tbsp
Coriander leaves 1/4 bunch
Fried onion 1tsp
Gr chilli 2
Jeera (cumin) 1tsp
Mint (optional) 1/4 bunch
Safron color 1pinch
Salt to taste
Water 2 cup


Heat oil/ butter in a pan.

Add cumin ,gr chilli , mint and coriander and add water (Water - twice the amount of measured rice).

Bring the water to boil add salt.

Add pre soaked rice bring it to boil till 90% of water is absorbed.

Add fried onion and safron color.

Reduce the flame to minmal and cook covered for 5 more minutes and you will have awesome jeera rice.
