UNESCO inaugurated ÂOctober 5, 1994, as the first World Teachers' Day.
October 5 commemorates the teaching profession's contribution to educating the children of the world. Therefore, it is fitting that this year's World Teachers' Day theme is "Teachers—Opening Doors to a Better World."
And its point is to centre around “acknowledging, evaluating and enhancing the instructors of the world†and to give a chance to consider the issues identified with educators and the teaching process in general.
More than 100 nations celebrate the World Teachers’ Day globally. The endeavours of Education International and its 401 associations have added to this broadly spread acknowledgement. Consistently, EI dispatches an open mindfulness crusade to feature the commitments of the teaching calling.
