What is life? Is it about living? It is being happy and living ? Is it mere survival? Or is it just waiting to die some day ? Ironical isn’t it, human beings are naïve in many ways, even though some of us have the highest degrees and certifications and are doing extremely well in our respective corporate fields….yet do we realize we are all living a very short life, in which we are going to go through education, a love life, being a parent and then a grandparent…….its still short! very short. We buy houses, cars and all sorts of things to fancy up our life, we take trips and have family traditional gatherings and we don’t realize that each passing day is cutting short our life, a day is slipping away, a chapter of life is being completed. God is gifted us with this life and given us ways of enjoying it, we as human beings have found different ways of living it. Do we live it to the fullest ? Do we realize how precious our life is? I often wonder how would a person who is blind feel; he or she has no idea what things look like around them, yet they have the will power to go on, to live…….How about an orphan who has no one to relate to, no one to spend Festivities and family gatherings with………how would they feel about life. How about a very very wealthy person who has all the money in the world to splurge but no one to splurge it with or no one to love him/her genuinely. ………are all these people happy ? I think of life very deeply, because I have seen a lot at a very early age. I have lived through some of the loneliest moments of life and some I have shared with people who I thought would share this life till the end with me, but parted with me and I could do nothing to stop it from happening. Life – no one has been able to define it – we are sometimes so happy, sad, uncouth, and skeptical with life. Each one of us are learning, growing, experiencing as a new day unfolds.
They say one has to be self-sufficient and happy with themselves. How can that be – we all need people in our lives to compliment us – to make us feel special. Everyone desires a chance in life, we all make mistakes but wise are those who truly learn from their mistakes and value life, the moments and the opportunities that come our way. Some of us live such superficial lives, there is no depth, and there is no reason, no purpose. A life that is futile!
Life is worth spending with a loved one, worth living it to the fullest with a balance of humor, happy moments, sad moments and auspicious occasions. These are different facets of life……….
It’s so true – life is an instrument – it is how you live it and play it. We meet so many travelers in this journey, some stay with us, some part, some we remember with fond memories, some we feel hurt and pain when we remember them, yet we remember them!, some leave us with an impact, some we learn a good lesson from, some leave us with pleasing and sweet memories………..yet life goes on……...the desire to live is there….the hope for a better tomorrow is there……….

How would we feel when we lay on our deathbed and our life flashes in front of our eyes? Wouldn’t it be worth if we can reminisce it with wonderful thoughts of living it with a purpose and one which is rich in values, a life spent in caring and sharing, in compassion, with love, a selfless life.
Yes! Life is slipping away, hold on to each day! Smile, laugh and do things that make you happy and make others happy. Life waits for no one. Do you know what happens after death?
