Time and again Hey Ram">" Gandhi's Last words gets into controversy...a minority of them say..its not his last words..but "Manu" who was next to him when he was shot says Hey Ram were his last words..who would you believe Naturam Godse who's hatred shot Gandhi or the words of Manu who was always with Gandhi??. Looks like we put more importance to the perpetrator than to his aide?... why..??.
Imagine the mind set of Nathuram Godse when he shot..do you think he would have remembered anything during those tense moments??..nope not possible..then why go by his words..Manu was few millimeters from Gandhi and one can believe Manu's words with authenticity..as she was the closest and always Gandhi lived by and practiced "TRUTH" to his ashram residents and himself..so are you saying that Manu who lived by Gandhi’s principle would try to attach a lie to his legacy??.
There is another Scheme that sits with this "HEY RAM" controversy. why tie RAM to Gandhi..some people don’t seem to like it especially the secularist (The pseudo one’s) and the off course the communist . They also seem to be ignoring the fact that Gandhi’s favorite Bhajan was “Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram”. They are trying hard to try to separate Gandhi and Ram…but what they don’t understand is that a person who has read Gandhi’s life will always come to a conclusion that Gandhi was a thorough HINDU heavily influenced by his Vaishnavite mother when he was young..also there was daily reading of the GITA by Vinod Bhave in his ashram…all his ideological principles were taken from his religion and due to the political nature of the struggle and the various religious communities in India and the rulers belonging to another religion..to be politically sauve he was a true secularist…since today’s public does not seem to be so interested in Gandhi and people with perverted thinking interpret wrongs things on this mahatma claiming rights by Freedom of Speech without realizing the responsibility that goes with this right..
An assault on Gandhi, his legacy or his character amounts to an assault on the nation..why dont we by law ban such things on the Mahatma?. Please leave father of the nation alone..from your perverted speculations and interpretations. You can separate Mahatma from Gandhi but you cant separate Gandhi from Ram
Was Gandhi’s non violence confused with cowardice?.
As the saying goes “There is a TIME , PLACE & CIRCUMSTANCE” for every strategy..his idea with non violence worked with the Brits as they respected basic human rights and freedom of the press..the same strategy would have met with failure with the Mughal kings..Gandhi’s vision was non violence with strength and non violence not because of cowardice..!His strategy worked..it worked magic and delivered independence to us..at the cost of sacrificing his own family interests for the sake of the nation..6 months after he died his neglected son Harilal died .Swaraj comes at a price of personal sacrifice of the family!...
