Unripe green mangoes 1-2 peeled and Finely sliced
Green chillies two handfulls
1 tsp jeera ( cumin)
Half tbsp oil
Heat oil in a wok, add the jeera when the oil is hot and let it splutter. Add the green chillies. Stir around and then lower the heat and cover the wok and let the chillies simmer till they are half done. This should take around 5 mins. Add the mango slices and then let them simmer. I’d say let this cook for another 5 mins. To check , see if the chillies slice easily and the mango slices should be soft.
This makes an excellant side dish or chutney substitute. The hot flavor of the peppers is very deliciously offset by the tanginess of the mangoes and its just too good.
