Easy Oats Uthappam Recipe

Dish:Vegetarian - Breakfast/Tiffins/Snacks


Oats - 50g
Curd - 3/4 cup
Asafoetida powder(Kayam) - 1/4 tsp
Green chillies - 2 nos(finely chopped)
Cabbage - 50g(finely chopped)
Tomatoes - 50g(finely chopped)
Beans - 50g(finely chopped)
Cooked green peas - 25g
Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
Oil - As reqd
Salt - As reqd


1)Grind the oats to a fine powder and mix with curd, kayam powder and required salt.

2)Make a smooth batter with necessary water and keep aside for 30 minutes.

3)Take the chopped green chillies, cabbage, tomatoes, beans and green peas in a vessel. Add pepper powder, required salt and mix gently.

4)Take a tawa and brush with oil. Heat the tawa and spread the oats batter in a thick proportion.

5)Sprinkle the chopped veggies on top and with a ladle turn the dosa upside down.

6)Fry both sides of the dosa to a golden color.

7)Easy oats uthappam, an ideal dish for breakfast with all necessary nutrients is ready.
