Main Ingredient: Raw jackfruit


2medium sized raw jack fruit
20gms ginger-garlic paste
5gms chilli powder
5gm coriander powder
turmeric powder
salt to taste
coconut oil for frying
5gm garam masala powder
50gm sliced tomatoes
100gm sliced onions
5 green chillies
1kg biryani rice
coriander and mint leaves


Peel,chop the fruit and marinate in ginger garlic paste,chilli powder,coriander powder turmeric powder and salt for half an hour.deep fry the marinated jack fruit and keep aside.heat oil and temper with whole garam masala,ginger garlic paste,tomatoes and sliced onions.add coriander,chillies and turmeric powder and green chillies.now add chopped coriander and mint leaves.pour 1/12kg litres of water and bring to a boil.add the biryani rice.when the rice is partially cooked.add the deep fried jack fruit mixture,top with the mint and coriander leaves and keep it on dum for 20 minutes.serve hot.
