Janyaa, is a non-profit organization born in 2009, It’s vision is to change the lives of under-privileged rural children in India, by equipping school teachers with the right teaching aids to help children solve everyday problems. Janyaa’s program ingrains math and science concepts by using 'learn-by-doing' techniques. It provides educational kits (including experiments and games) to the schools and trains the teachers on the use of these kits. This program results in kids becoming individual creative problem solvers and innovative designers who can lead lives different from their parents.
Spearheaded by its founder, Venupriya Nadella, a passionate and selfless soul, Janyaa grew by leaps and bounds in the past three years. In the year 2011, it targeted 210 schools and 21,000 students in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. Janyaa has a magnanimous goal of targeting 100,000 students this year.
In an ongoing effort to make dreams come true for the rural children, Janyaa hosts various fundraisers. Volleyball competition is one of its classic and all time fundraiser and it was a huge success on July 12, 2014. It gives an immense feeling of satisfaction and contentment, when participating for a good cause and at the same time having lots of fun with family and friends.
