
-2 cups water
-1 inch fresh ginger (crushed)
-1–2 tbsp jaggery (as per sweetness)
-2–3 cloves
-1 small cinnamon stick
-2 cardamom pods (crushed)
-1 tsp tea leaves (optional)
-2 tbsp milk (optional)
Boil water in a pan. Add crushed ginger, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes. Add tea leaves (if using) and boil for 1 minute. Add jaggery and stir until it melts. Add milk if you like, otherwise strain and serve hot.
Don’t boil jaggery for too long after adding, it reduces nutrients.
Skip milk for a stronger detox version.
