-2 cups paneer cubes
-2 onions, thinly sliced
-1 tomato, chopped
-1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
-1 tsp cumin seeds
-1 bay leaf
-1 cinnamon stick
-2-3 green cardamom pods
-2-3 cloves
-1/2 tsp turmeric powder
-1 tsp red chili powder
-1 tsp coriander powder
-1 tsp cumin powder
-1 tsp garam masala powder
-Salt to taste
-2 tbsp oil
-2 tbsp butter
-1/4 cup cream
-Fresh coriander leaves, chopped for garnishing
- Heat oil and butter in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, green cardamom pods, and cloves. Fry until the cumin seeds start to sizzle.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for another minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and salt to taste. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add paneer cubes and mix gently to coat them with the gravy. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add cream and mix well. Cook for a minute or two until the gravy thickens slightly.
