Tamarind - Size of a leamon
Onion - 1 Small
Green chillies - 4
Mustard seeds
Cumin seeds
Red chillies dried
Curry leaves


Soak Tamarind in water for 20 min, then extract the juice in a bowl.

Roast green chillies on direct flame till it changes its colour.

Add salt to the green chilles and crush them with your hand and add onions to it.

Add mashed green chills, onion and salt mixture to tamarind juice.Adjust the taste by adding water as required.

For tempering take a pan add oil,mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chillies dried,curry leaves. Once it is done add the mixture to Tamarind juice mixture.

Lastly add coriander leaves chopped,sesame powder and sugar if required.

Pachipulusu/ Raw rasam is ready to serve.
