Main Ingredient: Basmati Rice,Tamato
Time to Prepare: 15 minutes
Basmati rice - 2cups
Tamato - 6 (medium size)
Green chillies - 4
Turmeric - little
Curry leaf - fist full
Ginger Garlic paste - 1spoon)
Seasoning:Mustard seeds,urad dall,chana dall,Jeera
Garam masala - 1/4 spoon
Oil - as required (sesame oil prefered
Fry basmathi rice in ghee
Soak fried basmathi rice in water with elachi (1) and Bay leaf for 30-45minutes.
while cooking add salt and 1table spoon oil.
Meanwhile take a deep pan and using seasame oil fry seasoning,sliced green chillies,curry leaf.
To the above seasoning add onions (cut length wise),ginger garlic paste,cubed tamotoes and garam masala and roast well.
After tamato is cooked add the cooked rice and mix gently.
Garnish with cashew roasted in ghee and serve hot with raita.
Raita: Beat curd and add jeera powder,salt,red chilli powder and sugar (a pinch of each).
